FUYUN geocell is made of a new type of high strength geosynthetics, which is popular with both domestic and abroad, in accordance with GB/T 19274-2003/ASTM implemenation of the standards, which welding the strengthened HDPE sheets by the high-power ultrasonic and forming to be a structure of three-dimensional reticular formation. Easily folding and convenient for transportation. When be in construction,the geocell can be pull into a network and launched into a three-dimensional honeycomb grid.As it filled in soil, macadam,concrete or other granular materials,constituted to be a construction which has strong sidewise restraint and high rate of stiffness.
Geocell prevents the material from being lost by factors such as water and wind. This is its most important benefit. It can be used for two main purposes: erosion control and ground reinforcement.
In erosion control applications, the type of cellular confinement system is selected considering the slope, the forces acting on the system and the properties of the material to be filled into the geocell. The geocell system provides protection against severe erosion by surface runoff.
Cellular confinement systems are used to form a carrier platform on highways and railways and to increase the bearing capacity of the ground. In soil reinforcement applications, the cellular confinement system is selected by taking into account the characteristics of the ground, the type of application, the fixed and live loads acting on the ground.
