Product Description:
Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCL) are high-performance needle punched environmental reinforced composites which combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a uniform core of natural sodium bentonite clay to form a hydraulic barrier. Fibers from the non-woven geotextile are needle punched through the layer of bentonite and incorporated into the other geotextile (either a woven or non-woven). when hydrated under a confining load, the bentonite swells to form a low permeability clay layer with the equivalent hydraulic protection of several feet of compacted clay.
Our bentonite waterproof blanket can be constructed under extreme low temperature (-20℃) where the traditional waterproof material cannot be constructed, Because bentonite is inorganic material, its durability is better than that of organic waterproof material.
Sodium bentonite-based GCLs provide an excellent hydraulic barrier in applications where leachate in direct contact with the GCL is relatively non-aggressive, or in composite lining applications where the GCL is overlain by a thermally welded geomembrane and hydrates from uptake of innocuous moisture from the subgrade.
